Q: Can I add more audience into my already approved, on-going campaign?

Yes! But for your territory campaigns (the campaign that goes out to your in territory contacts, i.e. 20% or full farm), you can only add any leads or SOI (Sphere of Influence) contacts.

How to Edit Audience: Go to View your online ad campaign. Underneath the Summary area, you should see an Edit Audience button.

You can now either upload a file directly or choose an existing label from your Contacts list.

Please keep in mind that if you add too many contacts, your online ad campaign will not be a viable campaign (meaning it will be ineffective). Keep track of the guage to the right of your screen to make sure that you do not go into the yellow. Once an audience is added to a campaign, they CANNOT be deleted!!

Q: What is a cookie?

Cookies are small pieces of data that websites send to your web browser when you first visit these sites. When you revisit these sites, they retrieve the data from your cookies to note your previous activity.

SmartZip is able to target a set of cookies in your territory to show them ads. In this way we are hitting the same group not only through mailers, but also through online ads to increase your brand awareness.

Additionally, when users click these ads, we are also able to re-target them using this cookie-based mechanism. We place a cookie on these visitors and retarget them with ads whenever they browse the web.

Q: What are online retargeting ads, and who do we retarget?

Retargeting ads are ads shown to homeowners who have visited a webpage. We place a cookie on these visitors and retarget them with ads whenever they browse the web.

We will retarget users in two ways:

  1. If an agent has purchased branded online ads:

  • The agent's targets who have clicked on the online ads but have not entered their phone/e-mail information will be retargeted further. These homeowners will begin seeing your branded ads as part of a retargeting campaign with more aggressive bidding factors.

2. If an agent has not purchased branded online ads:

  • The agent's targets who have visited SmartHomePrice (through postcards) but have not entered their e-mail/phone information will be retargeted with unbranded Smart Home Price advertisements.

Q: How often will my branded online ads be getting in front of people in my territory?

With our targeted online ad program, you can choose to show branded ads to your whole territory or just your SmartTargets. The total number of annual impressions should be 25 times the number of homes in your SmartTargets/territory.

For example, if your whole territory includes 5,000 homeowners and you choose only to show ads to your 1000 SmartTargets (20% of 5,000 = 1000), you will approximately end with 25,000 impressions through your entire campaign (1,000 x 25 impressions = 25,000). These campaigns generally last a year long unless you have specified otherwise.

Additionally, we have retargeting campaigns in which we display even more branded ads for those who have clicked the ad but have not submitted their e-mail/phone information.

Q: What are impressions?

Impressions measure the number of times an ad is displayed. Thus each time an ad is shown on a page it will count as one impression.

With our targeted online ad program, you can choose to show ads to your whole territory or just your SmartTargets. The total number of annual impressions should be 25 times the number of homes in your SmartTargets/territory. For example, if your whole territory includes 5,000 homeowners and you choose only to show ads to your 1000 SmartTargets (20% of 5,000 = 1000), you will end with 25,000 impressions through your entire campaign (1000 x 25 impressions = 25,000).

Q: What happens when someone clicks on my targeted online ads?

If you have a custom sub-domain URL then your ads will take homeowners to your custom lead capture websites with your branding on it. From there the flow is the same as SmartHomePrice.com only every page and email that the homeowner sees is completely branded to you.

If you do not utilize a custom sub-domain URL, then the online ads direct homeowners to the SmartHomePrice.com lead capture website, in which they can enter their home addresses to see their home valuations. Once they pass the initial SmartHomePrice page, they will go through the flow to get to your branded CMA page.

The SmartHomePrice.com page for online ads makes "Enter your address" the first call to action

You will receive an e-mail notification when a homeowner has logged on and entered a home address and further notifications if they input their phone/email information.

Q: Will I be able to see my own online ads?

Great question! And one we get very often. To understand how we target your ads, read about cookie matching. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to see your own online ads. Some reasons for this could be your brower settings or that you may not live in your farm.

Q: Targeted Social Advertising on Facebook Overview

Targeted Social Advertising on Facebook – SmartZip integration with Facebook enables clients to reach target prospects through social media. SmartZip lets you target a set of cookies in your territory to show prospects ads. Through this mechanism, we target the same group of prospects through multiple channels, including Facebook! Additionally, when users click these ads, we are also able to re-target them using this cookie-based mechanism. We place a cookie on these visitors and retarget them with ads whenever they browse the web. If users click on your ads without entering their information on SmartHomePrice, we will send them even more of your branded ads to push them to convert as a listing. SmartZip ads let you put yourself before your competition so that you are first to come to mind when targets decide they want to sell. These advertisements will follow the user wherever they surf on the web, and you will also be able to use this channel as a supplement to your direct mail as they hit the same territory.
